Quite a few years ago, Lucas and I were in England. He met a young man named Drew and gamed with him. I met a young man named Drew when I was working at the Satellite Grill at RAF Feltwell. We came to Colorado Springs, Lucas started gaming and met Drew again. I started gaming and met Drew again. We were friends and we were storytellers together. He would call me occasionally just to talk about life. Drew had his personality quirks like we all do, but he had a good heart. He was sweet, gentle and sometimes eerily intuitive. He was always quick to pick up on my feelings and give me a hug when he knew I was hurting. Yes, I speak of him in the past tense. Drew died in an accident a few days ago just weeks after moving back home to Indiana. He was 27 years old. The family kept him on life support for three days because he was an organ donor. So, through a tragic accident, Drew will live on in others through organ donation. He was like that and he will be missed as he has been the past few weeks, but now I know that I will never hear that Indiana twang when I pick up the phone. It sucks, it sucks bad. Our circle of friends is dwindling and I don't like that. Especially when we lose one like this.
Life is short, hold your friends close. I'll miss you, Drew.

Wish I could have met him. He sounds like someone I would have liked.
